Is there good wifi at the Hyatt? Does it go crash-crashy at the conventions or is it pretty steady?

hadn't really seen much as far as wifi at the hyatt. there are a couple of public terminals over by where the RPGA usually runs, and if you're there before the weekend, there's a small cafeteria that offers wifi.
other than that, you're left with pay wired service in the room.

I just spoke to the desk about the wi-fi. It *is* available in the lobby, if you purchase the connection for your room. The connection inside the conference rooms "might be unreliable or weak" unless the convention purchases a separate package to allow wireless in the various conference rooms. The desk couldn't give me a price, or any more details. Hopefully Vinny can arrange something with the facilities people.

carl,
Did you happen to ask what the cost of wi-fi is?

No. Avie said it was in the neighborhood of $3000 to cover all the conference rooms.

I should have been more clear, I was interested in what it would cost for a single room.

One conference room? I didn't ask. I figured that was Vinny's province. The desk said if you paid the $10 per day for your room, you "might" get some reception in the conference rooms, but you definitely would get reception in the lobby. Again, I didn't ask whether that included hallways, etc. Sorry.

Hmm... My ability to communicate effectively seems to be at an all time low I did mean how much it would cost for a guest room, not a conference room. I see that you said it is $10 per day so you actually did answer the question I was really trying to answer. I'd really like to have access in the ballroom where wargaming will be but that doesn't seem likely does it? Oh well, I may still purchase it since there always seems to be a need to look up some rule or download some form for games. Thanks, Mark

I just checked with the hotel and was told the the fee is $11.95 per 24 hours and is available throughout the hotel but not in the meeting rooms.
$10 or $11.95, I'm still considering it.

I spoke to the the Hyatt people about it, after the issues that EG had with the hotel internet. I was quoted $500 for 1 conference room (Headquarters B) for the weekend.
