Several major camera manufacturers have noted that a part in their cameras is vulnerable to heat & humidity (This happened to me at Casa de Campo last year, although I've had it fixed since then.).  If you own a digital camera, check the list below for your model.

Yeah, it bit me only when I was in the Carribean last year.  Still, it hit enough cameras that it was worth posting.  (And it's currently pretty darn humid out... 100%!)

It went away, whicih was confusing because I thought it was dead, then it got better... I sent it in to be sure.  I don't like knowing that an expensive electronic unit *may* flake out when I need it.
