"Indeed it does sound like quite a tale. I've studied the deific pantheons of various worlds and cultures, and Odin is one that comes up often as extremely powerful. All stories are better told over a good beer, and I think I've got just the brew for this one."

The mage holds out his hand, and a six-pack of Magic Hat #9 appears.

"Hi," says Jasper, not really looking surprised at seeing an anthropomorphic fox talking to him.  "Pretty short stohry, really," he continues, waving away the offer of beer.  "Won 'is horse in a game of pokah, and the damyankee wouldn't pay up.  Ah mean, okay, I taught 'em the game earliah that day, and Ah may have stacked the deck a bit on that last hand, but Ah won fair and square.  A sleepin' drought from Loki later, and I had me a fancy hat - way bettah than some dumb ol' horse.  Had to leave that world pretty fast, though - woulda liked to see the Ragnarok."
