So once again the great Double Exposure engine is cranking up to get DEXCON up and running...
We have a fantastic gaming convention in the heart of Morristown, NJ - July 7 - 11, 2010 at the Morristown Hyatt and Conference Center, featuring over 950 events for all ages and all types of gamers. Bring your family, bring your friends, because DEXCON is WHERE AMERICA COMES TO PLAY!
We are very excited about some things this year, so it is time for me to share them with you!
First, we are giving away a very special prize at Opening Ceremonies, Wednesday, July 7: an Apple iPad, graciously donated by TekServe, New York's Apple Superstore! Remember that anyone with ANY type of membership is welcome Wednesday night, and our friends at the Hyatt Morristown do an excellent job of laying out a buffet dinner, and anyone can partake for just $24.00 (all-you-can-eat!). There will also be HUNDREDS of dollars of other raffled prizes, including an EXCLUSIVE Code 777 giveaway from Stronghold Games!
Speaking of Stronghold Games, we are pleased to announce that all of their games will be entered into the Double Exposure National Championship Circuit, starting with Code 777 at DEXCON 13!
Next, we are very happy to announce that the DEXCON 13 T-Shirt will feature the art of Bill Holbrook (Kevin & Kell, On the Fastrack & Safe Havens) in FULL COLOR! Pre-order yours to ensure that we have your size when you get to the convention!
For those of you who look forward to the creations of Bruce Neiger & Brendan Herlihy, we have a NEW game show making its premiere at DEXCON 13: One vs. the Mob! Based on the popular TV show, contestants will match wits with the rest of the "mob" for up to $100 each! Plus, the boys will be bringing back one of their most popular games, The Weakest Link, with $1,000 in potential prizes!
We at Double Exposure always watch out for the trends that define the gaming industry, and we've sort of noticed that Rio Grande's game Dominion has been getting a LOT of play at our conventions. Like we can't keep up with the demand! We are very pleased to announce that for the FIRST TIME, DEXCON 13 will feature a Dominion $100 Championship running throughout the convention. So sharpen your Dominion skills and join us for some serious competition!
Finally, Double Exposure's own Avatar System will be in full swing - early in the convention, our intrepid adventurers will be trying to turn their world rightside up again, following a disaster at Track 42; look for this event on the schedule as "What do we do NOW? an Avatar Quest to Retrieve Carlos (again) and Return our Powers (again)." As the convention continues, players new and old will be invited to play in a wide variety of games - journeys and skills challenges - to obtain mysterious items of great worth and intriguing power. The DEXCON 13 postcards are on their way out the door as we speak, and the hotel is filling up. If you have not yet made a reservation, please call the hotel immediately to do so at 973-674-1234. The room rate is $115.00/night.
