"So, where is this tree house of yours?" Jason murmurs, "I want to explore this whole 'time spending' idea."

The otters finally finish their pile of desserts, and head for the door of the diner...

She smiles still holding on. It's not so scary after all. It's nice. "It's just a short walk from here. I don't exactly know how far. Distance is all sortof relative here. But I know I walk in that direction for a few minutes and it's there." She laughs softly. "Too bad I can't travel the way you do through reflective surfaces. There's loads of shiny stuff inside. We'd be there in seconds. But really it's just a short walk."

"You know, a guy could get used this." Jason says softly. Leaning in closer to Echo, he murmurs, "I think, if you close your eyes for a moment, you'll find we're a lot closer to your tree house than you think."

Echo's breath catches for a moment. She smiles, lays her head on his chest, and closes her eyes.

Jason gently and very softly brushes his lips to hers. As he does, Echo catches a brief glimpse of Jason's mind and suddenly they are in her tree house. (Barring anything that would stop portaling in)

She lingers in his delicate kiss for a moment before opening her eyes. She sighs and looks up at him. "That was my very first kiss." She says, a little bit breathless. "And the whole Nexus moved." She smiles. "You know, a girl could get used to this."

Jason smiles softly at his girlfriend and whispers in her ear, "The first of many, my Anamae." He looks deeply in to her eyes and sighs contentedly. "I'm sorry if that was too soon, but it seemed like the right time. I don't want to rush you in to anything you're not ready for."

"It wasn't too soon." She shakes her head still smiling. "It was perfect."

She puts a finger to his lips. "Listen." she says. She glances about briefly. Everything is more or less as she left it. A family of squirrels appears to have built a nest in on of her server racks. But it's fairly quiet. And it's actually private.

She speaks in an almost devout whisper. "This is an exceptional moment. One of my favorite moments ever. There are no ringing phones, no kiosks, no waitresses, no automatons, no otters, no crashing spacecrafts. There is only you and me. And this is the first time we have ever actually been alone together."

Her green eyes focus on his. "I'll tell you if you're going too fast. But I trust you, Jason. And kissing..." Her smile broadens. She tilts her head slightly and shrugs one shoulder a little, experimenting with subtly flirtatious body language she's really only observed in movies-- and a life time ago in Brooklyn. "I am definitely ready for kissing."

I think it's time we moved our syrupy little soap opera off list. Don't worry Boys and Girls. Echo's still just a kid. There will be no sex in the champagne room. Or the tree house.

We just don't want to put the entire DE community into a collective diabetic coma.

Look! A distraction!

All across the Nexus, on any building other than the Council Chambers, a strange sight can be seen.  Hundreds of tiny bug shaped robots are clumped in huge rectangular groups roughly 4 feet high and two inches wide along at least 1 wall of each building.  If one looks closely they'll see the abdomen of each robot contains a glass canister full of liquid, a variety of blue, red, yellow, and black.  The robots slowly inch their their way across the face of each wall, leaving an image printed onto the wall where they had passed.  Their task complete they take to the sky on metallic wings and disappear into the horizon.  Its clear who ever designed this image was very very bad at art.

OCC: I have no idea how to put a picture on these forums, so i'm posting it on the Dexposure facebook page.  Enjoy, i'm not good at photoshop, and I'm lazy, just to warn you.
