As the cactus being disappears, so does the otter (as far as anyone can tell)...

Steed watches the retreating cactus. His gaze continues into the distance. After a moment he blinks several times rapidly; "Huh..." he mutters, re-focusing his eyes on Fel. "Impressive containment system. Completely different implementation than mine... intriguing approach. Are they nested one within another within another, or do they occupy the same Nexal space at differing vibrational constants?"

"Both, kind of.  I bounded it with negative . . . I think you call them wavelengths, but I did it with genetic amplification and mental attenuation to reality."  Felegro shrugs as if it's not that big a deal.  "They're based on genre and level, and I added a few extra surprises on top of that, and then triple sealed the boundary walls, making them about as strong as a domain.  Plus a few alarms, since some Fleming or Lightfoot was wandering around in domains without permission, leaving tea cups, a few cycles ago.  Anyway, the only way anything's getting out of that is if every single mind in the Nexus is destroyed simultaneously.  Err, not to give people ideas..." he adds, looking around nervously.

He laughs. "Funny you mention it - I got asked about that a short while ago. The deTrue debacle. Fortunately I had the foresight to erase the portion of my memory that contained the ascension procedure. Even if I woke up both stupid and insane one morning and got it into my head to try that again, I couldn't. And, of course, I can't be mind-woogied into doing something I don't know how to do," he winks. "Your method appears to be quite solid. Since things are settled here, I suppose I'll re-position the ship for a standard search grid of the Nexus and run a continual scan for any more ghostrock." He shrugs. "I don't expect to find any, but it doesn't hurt to keep a look-out."

A dark laughter is heard from the center of Bone Henge. Vlad appears as a swirling mass of Ghost Rock dust and Blood Gollum Lilith slinks in and out of the cloud.
