[Kate]

A young looking blond girl, wearing a cowboy hat and jeans, wanders through the bazaar rubbing her eyes as if she has only recently woken from a deep sleep. There is dirt on the knees of her torn jeans and dirt also under her close cut fingernails. She seems to be confused and aimless in her wanderings

[Dr. Ashleigh Connors]

A couple, carrying multiple shopping bags from the surrounding stores, comes walking in the opposite direction.  It consists of a man in his late thirties, wearing business casual and incredibly dark sunglasses, and a possibly 17ish year old young woman, wearing a green sundress, green platform maryjanes, and a matching cream colored belt and head band.  Both are also wearing ID badges for something called "Paladin Industries". 

The pair stop when the see the confused young blond.  The man whispers quickly in the woman's ear, and they both walk over, with looks of concern on their faces.

The man inquires, gently.  "Excuse me miss, my friend and I couldn't help but notice.  You don't look quite well.  Can we help you out here?"

[Echo Gamin]

The teenager smiles at the blonde. "I'm Gabrielle. This is Ashleigh."

[Kate]

The girl smiles cordially but shyly at the couple. She glances down at herself self-consciously before replying, "My name is Mercy... Where is this place? Am I dead?"

[VladGrimme]

A blood mist rises from a few feet to the right if the little girl. Lilith forms and Vlad steps out of her. Vlad speaks,"You only wish you were dead. Welcome to a world of pain and never ending misery. If you are ready to venture into a terrible world of violence and indecency than I welcome you. Vladimere Ezekiah Grimme Ace of Blood.

[Darla Coyle]

A crimson portal appears almost instantaneously next to Vlad and a slim looking, blond haired woman steps out from it. She nods in greeting to Vlad, then turns to the newcomer with an eerie smile, seeming to be merely observing for now.

[Echo Gamin]

Echo glares at Vlad. "Leave her alone, you creep!" She turns to Mercy. "Don't worry, Mercy. They can't hurt you. I know this is all really confusing, but you're gonna be okay. And, no you're not dead. You're safe."

[Dr. Ashleigh Connors]

Ashleigh puts a steadying hand on Echo's shoulder.  "Chill Gabs.", he says with a tone that is gentle, but not to be argued with.

The dark lenses turn to the blond, "Mercy, is it?  Right now, you are safe.  As long as you believe us, and show Vlad here the respect due an enemy, and a little backbone, you'll be fine.  Unless you're among the type who likes hanging with the walking dead, in which case have a fantastic time, with these two cheerful soulless lots. 

If you're not, I manage this entire marketplace.  Let Gabby and I take you somewhere where we can get you a warm meal, a cup of joe, or something stronger if that's your fancy?  Maybe a change of clothes, and a helping of unthreatening information.  All on the house.  Promise."

[wcshoe]

Cutthroat, the Celestial Otter, pops into existence not far from those gathered, but at least ten feet from from any  of them. Stars drift peacefully through his fur, which looks exactly like an otter-shaped opening to outer space.

Orbiting the otter is a gleaming black orb, and a odd looking carbine is held in his front paws.

The otter speaks, with a Russian accent whose origins seem to wander throughout the huge country, refusing to be tied to any specific part of that nation for long. "Echo. You never know, she might be dead. Vampires, Zombies, Angels, Devils, and other beings are just as likely here. Look at Darla. Being dead does not stop her from functioning, after all. And in this place, safety is always relative."

He focuses his attention on the newcomer. "I am Cutthroat, Celestial Otter, Lord of Lightfoot, Knight of MUDD, Leader of the Nexus Defense Force, Holder of the Lightfoot Orb, Chosen of Persephone, and Bailiff of the Nexus Council. You may call me Cutthroat. If you want, I can be your guide here, until you get settled."

[Echo Gamin]

[OOC: Is Mercy giving off a house signature?]

[VladGrimme]

Vlad looks echo up and down like she is going to be his next meal. He chuckles and sings lightly,"To the next little girl-Oh, don't ask why-Oh, don't ask why-Show me the way-To the next little girl-Oh, don't ask why-Oh, don't ask why-For if we don't find-The next little girl-I tell you we must die-I tell you we must die-I tell you, I tell you-I tell you we must die." he continues with his normal speech,"Oh I can hurt you and probably will, but for now you are safe. You will not be okay if they wish to tell you lies to help cope with the confusion so be it. If you want the truth of this horrific place I will speak to you." Vlad hisses at Echo, those around Vlad will notice the Lugosi Orb circling around him.

[Echo Gamin]

As Vlad sizes Echo up and the others observe, it is readily apparent that she possesses the House Orb of Octagon.

[Kate]

Mercy looks from one person to another as they appear and speak. She looks tired and confused by the bickering back and forth. She looks afraid as Vlad speaks but does not speak to him directly, rather she steps closer to echo and says quietly, "I am not the walking dead... I was am a healer. I still don't understand where I am but I don't wish to be hurt..."

Ashleigh raises his voice slightly, but it remains even and cool.  

"Vlad, you may either find something you'd like to purchase, or you can leave.  You terrorize any of my customers further, or ever again, and you and I will not be doing business.  If that's not enough to make you think, those new resurrection and necromantic nullification rounds I've developed, out of the energy from Bron's orb, installed in all the security systems, are just itching to find viable test subjects.  

If Mercy wants to come see you, after she's cleaned her self up for you, I'll be sure to send her your way."

[Echo Gamin]

Echo smiles at Mercy encouragingly and offers her hand.
