[Bazaar] A Talk with Nature
« on: March 09, 2011, 12:05:22 AM »

Felegro walks out of the diner and steps a few feet to the side, allowing others to enter or exit if they wish.  He unfolds his branches, extending to his full 8.5 feet.

"Yeah," replies the Tree, "Here's fine.  I'll do the tree thing, no problem, already had planned on it.  And don't worry about the locket, for now it's safe."

((OOC: Sorry about the long delays.  I'm working an overnight shift, so can only post from 9pm to 9am or thereabouts))

"I'm reconstructing the Council Chambers to be safe," explains Felegro.  "Protection from everything, under control of the entire Council.  I need some spit from every House Head, and an agreement.  Specifically, I need you to say "'I agree to Felegro's ritual purification and sanctification of the Council Chamber, to create equal multi-versal protection for all who enter.' "  Felegro pulls out a small mug-shaped container, with a leaf-like pattern.  Inside is a slightly glimmering crystaline object.

"As i said the Yuri is taking care of the council chambers a much easier way then a ritual.  Besides if we go with your plan then if a problem arises we have no one to be balif, and can't enforce peace in the chambers everyone can rant off and keep on going on about what they wish and nothing will be done.  Fel i suppport ya on the chambers needing to be fixed i really do but ya still have to work some bugs out to say the least."

"First, Shamus, I already have Yuri's support on this.  His method is less than secure, in my opinion, as I expressed to him earlier; it does not solve a number of issues, including mental domination and possession, which could negatively impact a Council Vote, and there are other, far scarier, possibilities he has not thought of.  This solution does solve those issues.  And secondly, the Bailiff would be able to eject people from the room, harmlessly, for a certain length of time, while no one else in the room would be able to.  The protections in the room are to prevent any action, any energy, any attack, even preventing House abilities that are purely defensive.  The Bailiff would have very strict rules on how and when he can eject people, based on the ritual.  I'm still in the process of writing this all out, but I assure you it is far safer than you imagine."

"Sounds good to me," replies Felegro, "but I really want this done by the next Gathering.  I'll post the details somewhere public where everyone can look over it."

"That works, if there isn't anything else let me get back to the new avatars that are in there and i will send Jason out. Take care Fel and if ya need me im only a call away."

With that Shamus will walk back inside as long as he isn't stopped.

Jason exits the diner and heads to Felegro. "Master Felegro, I need your help creating a ritual to retrieve the Citadel House Orb."

Felegro blinks, this not being at all what he had expected.  "But isn't that inside of..." The realization dawns slowly of the immensity of the task ahead, and his leaves seem to pale a bit.  "Oh. . . but. . . "  His concern deepens.  "You can't just draw that out, it was synthesized, you'd have to . . . you'd have to take her apart!  And in the state she's in. . . "  He looks at Jason bewildered.  "How were you planning on doing this?  And does she know?"

"Yes and no. She knows what I want to do but not how I plan to do it. I will need your oath that you will keep it secret. If you can not or will not do this then I can find someone else who can. But I would rather it be you both for privacy and for your skill." Jason's eyes have a slightly haunted look to them and close inspection will show dark circles under them.

"Secret from all but her."  Felegro's response is a statement, not a question.  His look is intense as he stares into Jason's eyes.
