Gaming handme downs??
« on: March 13, 2011, 08:11:13 PM »

I am not interested in the EBAY or Amazon hassle.  I have games (some older board games and still in the box computer games) to either:

     1.  Donate to the CON (Double Exposure script) goodies table(s); or
     2.  Donate to the Auction to fund new stuff on the goodies table.

Things may include D&D 3.0/3.5 game books and related supplemental books for campaigns.
Just finished moving and need to find a good home for the stuff (my treasures, spouses not treasures).

Thanks!  :)

I have somewhat the same issue but on a much much smaller scale.

I have half a copy of Fireball Island (board, some of the cards, and about 1/3 of the pieces) that obviously can't be sold or given away as a complete game, but I don't have the heart to throw it out (since old versions of the game are so popular).  I hate clutter so it rankles a bit every time I look at it when I open the closet door, so I'm desperate to find it a new home....

Anyone want a partial set of fireball island?

If I have items to donate (one each items, good condition) to either the points table(s) or auction who do I contact at DEXCON?  Brian, Eric and John Hampton have dealt with me before and know I mean well  :)  I will have about ten to twenty items between unopened computer games and some roleplay books.  Thanks.

If you want to have your items in the auction, stop by the Reg desk at DEXCON.  We will have the paperwork that you need available.  Same applies to Prize Support.

Prize support it is!  Unless the CON benefits more as auction, either way a new home is better than the alternative.

Well, you personally can benefit more by placing your items in the Auction, unless you're averse to money.  <grin>  Do you have an idea of what your items are worth?  That information is necessary for both options.

When brand new and the year of release, anywhere between $15 and $35 dollars, but as used items or just old stock, about $1.00 each (not bought at a dollar store, just current fair market value).  Some items are also older Role Play books, so it depends if it will find a new home as Prize support.

-- Well still need some items on the prize table for $1.00 or less  ;D

Tell you what... we can dot "I"s and cross "T"s at DEXCON.  We'll help you get things taken care of.
