Spring Gatheringish 2011
« on: March 23, 2011, 01:21:01 PM »

Folks,

We're working furiously on putting together a Spring Gathering worthy of all the fantastic energy we've seen in the last year.

There will be a Board Gaming mini-track, complete with demos by Stronghold Games, and IC reason to go explore their offerings.

There will be PLENTY of activities to partake in, the structure for which will be announced shortly ICly.

And there will be lots of time to ponder existential truths with your fellow Avatars.

We'd like to set the tone for a kickin' DEXCON. We have so much more to explore together - I can't wait to see everybody!

Things players might want to bring (and might get extra rewards for):

Snapple caps
Old crayons (ones you don't mind losing forever)

and finally....

Pogs.  Yeah, Pogs.  Also any slammers for Pogs.  We have evil things planned for you guys.

Snapple caps? Seriously? I just tossed all the recycling... including about 36 Snapple bottles.

Pillage, then burn.

Everything is air-droppable at least once.

A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head.

That which does not kill you has made a tactical error.

There is no "overkill".  There is only "Open Fire" and "Time to Reload!"

We need a minimum of about 10, but it would be great to have one-per-Avatar.  Thanks for your help :)

I dunno if anyone is interested but I'm going to bring my Warmachines figures if anyone else has an army and wants to get a game in over the weekend.  I'm brutally addicted.

Additional things people can bring: Nerf weaponry!     Hint, go for accuracy rather than spray-and-pray.

Still looking for Pogs, Snapple caps, old crayons you don't mind losing, and, extra bonus, old tennis balls.
