Andromache's golden tan blanches. "This is..." She shakes her head stunned. "This is unspeakable." She turns to Sibyll. "Honey, when did you find out about this? Poor Gabby... She hasn't said a thing..."

"Do we know who else he has?" Aghast, she looks back to where the children are assembling the picnic under the canopy. "We never took any precautions against something like this... I never imagined I'd need to..."

Sibyll's voice takes on a cold and clinical detachment.  "Many upon many.  And no, I don't have an exact catalog.  Given the suspected length of Its operation, I would presume, conservatively, that any and all individuals that have ever come in contact, are potentially theft victims.  Any individuals may also be unwittingly contributing, when It requests samples, or makes physical contact."

From somewhere off in the distance a motorcycle can be heard approaching. It grows louder, but does not approach the garden straight away. It veers towards the stronghold itself - now more of a barracks - and Sigma gets off the bike. He heads inside the stronghold, and emerges a few minutes later. He then heads towards the assembled Avatars, waving as he approaches.

As sibyll hands the film to shamus the blue light on his ear piece goes solid

"Paolo oh lo scusa lo scusa. Siete interamente vi siete regolati? Buon cancello openening ora."
Translation for those that know italian:"Paolo Oh excuse me excuse me.  Are you all set?  Good openening gate now

The 2 sticks light up and a yellow portal opens up. A giant man that looks as if you mixed super mario and the muppet swedish chef together.  He has what looks like a oversized ice cream cart with balloons on it with a oven and a tap with multiple buttons on it. Shamus then looks at the film and just shakes his head.

"Fox.. Real quick what was your answer yes or no?"

Paolo goes off to the side laughing and singing in italian as he walks towards the tent thats set up

Sigma passes the assembled Avatars with a quick hello, then begins sneaking in an exaggerated fashion over to the tent where the girls are setting up the picnic supplies.

"good I'm glad your on our side fully"

Shamus then looks to Andi

"did we ever figure the mirror out and if so has anyone used it yet oh and were is it. Sorry to bombard with questions but I know you know the answers."

Paolo finnaly reachs a area near the tent and begins to pull items from the upper part of the cart.  Assorted meats and cheeses, breads, salads clearly all starter food the amount is set for roughly 10 people.

OCC: Somehow I keep picturing that if Shamus had a commercial it would be the verizon "my network" commercials with him just flanked by a couple thousand people holding everything under the sun.

Andromache's expression becomes increasingly grim. From this moment through much of the conversation to follow, she watches her children with thoughtful concern. Her attention is clearly divided.

Unaware of their mother's distress or the weight of the topic being discussed by the adults nearby, the little girls cheerfully prepare their feast. Thea moves about getting out and setting down plates, glasses, juice boxes, and utensils. Kay sits on a pillow at one side of a large hamper she uses as a table, carefully folding napkins.

Thea's head perks for an almost invisible moment at the sound of the familiar motorcycle, but she continues doing her job. Kay is seemingly too focused on  her folding to take the other sounds into account. Andromache registers the approach of her children's father but waits until he gets closer to share the disturbing news.

Fox scans the sheet.  "I recently found out about this I was there when Echo found out about it.  I think this needs to be brought to the council and made public.  We can probably find a diplomatic solution.  If not...Well."

Andi shakes her head, doubt written in bold strokes across her face but says nothing.

Paolo goes off to the side laughing and singing in italian as he walks towards the tent thats set up

Andromache rubs her temples. She smiles distractedly at the arrival of the entertaining character.

Fox looks to Shamus.  "I was told that I wasn't ready to answer.  But I still answer yes."

This one comment by Fox does seem to catch Andromache's attention. She doesn't say anything but nods and smiles knowingly. It distracts her just long enough to cause her to miss her chance with Sigma.

Sigma passes the assembled Avatars with a quick hello, then begins sneaking in an exaggerated fashion over to the tent where the girls are setting up the picnic supplies.

Andromache opens her mouth to call Sigma back but sees what he's up to and stops. She sighs and lets him and the girls have their moment of innocent fun. They're be plenty of time to worry afterwards. She looks fondly as the large man tip toes towards the small girls.  This is one of the sides of Sigma she likes best.

Kay and Thea welcome Paolo with cheers and laughter. They introduce themselves and he is offered a juicebox. Thea, almost done with the task she began, starts helping the funny man put out the food he has, adding it to the already bountiful spread they had in their hampers. When he begins to sing, the girls join in, Thea while she pops and dashes about and Kay while she continues meticulously folding napkins. They don't know the song, but they know a passable ammount of  Italian, so they make up their own words and sing along to his tune.

Andromache turns back to Shamus and shakes her head. "The whole mirror's been revealed. We can see all the symbols. Generally, what they mean and relate to has been figured out. I'm working on some new theories about the history... But as for using the mirror? No I don't think that's quite been figured out yet. To the best of my knowledge, it's exactly where it was at the end of the gathering unless someone moved it." She frowns at the thought.

"I've been away from the girls for almost a month so I'm taking some family time before I dive back into the research." Andi leans toward Sibyll and kisses the top of her head. She takes Sibyll's delicate hand with her larger one and gives it a little squeeze for her own comfort.  Then she draws the group's attention to the unfolding scene at the pretty pavilion.

"Watch." She nods towards the children seemingly unaware of their father's approach. "Kay is absorbed with her napkins. She gets so focussed... But no one sneaks up on Thea. She may be a budding Ares, Fox. She knows her daddy's scent and the sound of his bike. He's totally tiptoeing into an ambush." She grins. "I wonder if he knows it."

Sure enough despite all appearances of being completely absorbed in setting out the picnic and singing with the funny Italian charicature, the curly-haired girl spins on her father and pounces. "Daddy! I got you!" She crows triumphantly and grabs him around the leg. "You're my prisoner. Now you have to stay for our picnic!"

Kay looks up and squeals with delight at the unexpected visit of her absolutely most favorite daddy in the whole wide multiverse plus ten. "She rushes over with a folded napkin. "Look Daddy! It's a crane! Just like yours!" She holds it up for inspection. The brightly colored paper napkin has been folded into a perfect origami crane. "You will stay for our party won't you Daddy? Please?"

Two adoring pairs of deep blue eyes look up at Sigma hopefully.

"I'm invited? Woohoo!" Sigma smiles, not teasingly, but with genuine joy. He reaches down and picks Thea up, tickling her in the same motion and then giving her a hug. "I'm going to have to try harder if I want to sneak up on you, huh?" He sets her down again, and then gives Kay a hug. He then makes a show of inspecting the offered crane napkin from all angles. "Hmm..." After a moment, he hands it back to her. "Perfect! You've been practicing. Now, what can I do to help?"

Thea laughs and squirms until he puts her down. "Look Daddy!" Thea says, grabbing a purple flowered napkin off a plate. "I made one too!" She hands it to him with obvious pride. The napkin is crushed into a tight ball.

"It's still in the egg!" Kay grins with perfect comprehension. She hops up repeatedly her hands up to her father. "Spin me Daddy! Spin me!"

Thea bellows to the other adults assembled in the garden. "Mommy! Sibyll! Look! Daddy's here! And it's time for lunch!"

"Look how they light up. They've missed him terribly." Andi looks on and sighs. She looks at Sibyll touching her arm softly. "We should see if we can get him to come to Xenia him for a week-- spend some time with the girls." Her voice is soft and softens further as she adds, "His house is still furnished. Actually, they still have their own room there, although they've never used it. Cody and Sigma and I-- we decorated it together. When I was still pregnant and they were engaged. Before--" She shrugs and shakes the thought back into it's box. "Maybe a beach day or something? And then a longer visit sometime after their birthday? What do you think, Love?"

Paolo Gives a big joyous laugh as the girls tackle there daddy.  The man seems to be nothing but joy and happiness. He begins to pull out tables from the cart seemingly out of one of the compartments and sets them up next to his cart.  Pulling from what looks to be the oven is a huge tray of Baked Ziti, Eggplant Rolletini, and a odd looking dish that looks like a giant loaf of bread that has been deep fried and drenched in a lemon sauce with cappers...dont let the secret out its stuff with cheese. Everyone no matter where they're standing can smell the food as it draws them in.

Shamus on the other hand has the look like he's about to do something reallllllyyyyyyy stupid.

"Andi, Sybill go enjoy your family take a week off or two.  If ya want to really get away go to my domain and enjoy its spoils after the picnic, bring Sigma and whom ever else. Leena will be there waiting for you she will show you around"  He then looks up to the sky and then to fox.  "Its morning enough want to accompany me in a selfless act of stupidness? I'm gonna go test the mirror and would like someone there just incase something goes south."

Sibyll sighs and wrinkles her nose.  "You're right Shamus, that would qualify for an act with less than complete planning.  There are a final set of instruction on how to activate the mirror.  They include a demand for having as many active energy forms collected as possible.  It has been presumed to mean that it is requisite to have at least one of every genre, and/or one of every house, for proper activation.  Failure to include this spread, may cause undesirable effects.  Further inquiries should be directed to Zane, of Delphi, and Aiskon, currently of Galahad.

I know you want to be a hero to everyone, but the Nexus is just getting used to having a new Lightfoot leader.  It also just lost its new Citadel leader."  She then looks away and mutters something about "drummers", and "spinal tap".

Refocusing, she smiles like a cat,  "Cold you maybe hold off on an agenda of self-sacrifice, until you've got a suitable, agreeable, stable replacement?"

Andi winces and turns away from the scene that was giving her a moment of pleasure.  "Please please don't jump in blindly." She groans. "More times than not, when someone goes off by themselves with next to no preparation to dig into the deeply mystical it ends up being a terrific mess. There's an awful lot of power in that one artifact. It should be used carefully. Aside from the obvious risks to yourself and the potential risks to the fabric of the Nexus, for all we know, using the mirror improperly could break it. If you accidentally damage it beyond repair; and everything we've worked for could be lost. And I know you'd feel awful about that." She sighs. "Really, after everything that's been uncovered... I can't cope with another potential disaster so soon. Just... give me a few days with my family; and then I'll get back to work."

"In the mean time, if you want to dig into something perilous, we have this to deal with." She holds up her copy of the reports they've all gotten from Sibyll.

"Besides," she shrugs hopefully, "I was really hoping you'd stick around for a while and join us here in the garden. I can tell you about what I've learned about it so far.  And I'd really like my kids to get to know you. Sibyll and I have no plans on keeping them in a bell jar forever. I'd like they to learn some of the good things and good people from the House I once belonged to-- small child appropriate versions of course."

She looks back at the kids for a moment and tenderly strokes Sibyll's cheek. She wraps her arm around Sibyll's shoulder and smiles at Shamus. Her voice is full of compelling certainty. "This cycle has been filled with undeniably hopeful augury. All sorts of signs indicate this is the time to bridge understanding and reconciliation between the past and the present. You must feel it. It's most likely why you're feeling so compelled to investigate the mirror. But Shamus, it doesn't begin with the mirror. It begins with us."
