The (We've Stopped Counting) Annual Double Exposure BBQ
« on: April 29, 2011, 12:50:58 PM »

Memorial Day is practically on top of us and what does that mean? The (We've Stopped Counting) Annual Double Exposure BBQ, of course! I can hear the cheers now.

The BBQ takes place Sunday, May 29, 2010 at our house in White Plains. There will be plenty of food* (Vinnyburgers™! Avieveggiesalad™!) drinks and of course oodles of gaming, movies and other activities!

Since we have a limited amount of space, we ask that you PLEASE RSVP so we can plan properly. We'll then make sure everyone has directions to the house and parking instructions.

Speaking of space, ANYONE who may need crash space NEEDS to talk to Avie ASAP. (avonelle@dexposure.com) Again, we have limited space at the house (and overflow at Villa) so if you need to crash, speak up now by emailing her and we'll see what we can do. There are also some local hotels that are easy walking distance from the house.

Just like last year, we're answering "What can I bring?" with: Drinkables. Over the years, after some intense introspection, Avie has come to realize that she _LOATHES_ hauling beer and soda for these things.  So, we are encouraging folks to bring a case of drinkables to share.  We will also be continuing the strategy of BYOB as we can never predict how much will get used (we hate wasting beer).

Please do not bring foodstuffs.  Seriously, we take a GREAT deal of pride in making all of the burgers, salads and other munchies. Anything that someone might bring would end up getting lost which isn't fair to you or your food!  (Note from Avie: No offense to you, but if I'm going to have guests come down with food poisoning, I'd like to know that it was my fault.)

You MUST RSVP if you intend to attend.  Send email to avonelle@gmail.com.

If you have any other questions about the BBQ, just drop one of us email or post here.

* Don't worry all you vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free folks out there; we'll have food for you to eat. Honest.
