My wife and I are developing a couple's cosplay outfits, and are looking to do Hawkeye and Mockingbird from Marvel comics. I'm looking for a LARP bow which if I can't get in purple can be painted or dyed purple. Recurve style might be the best but I'm flexible. Here are images of some of Hawkeye's bows.



I figured to go with a LARP bow as it would be easiest to get peacebonded when necessary. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks for any help.

Can't help you with where to look but Hawkeye & Mockingbird would be awesome.  The bows look like they came from Marvel Universe.

Yes, Marvel Universe is where the image comes from. It's from their website but looks like the image from the old Marvel Universe glossary back in the day. We think it will be pretty awesome too, if we can get it together (and get in shape!)

FYI for anyone else interested in the subject, I'm keeping my eye out for a Genesis compound bow on sale. They are beginner bows with adjustable tension down to 10 lbs, so should easily meet LARP safety needs, and they come in a variety of colors including purple.

hi' nice to see  some other con go-er's  thinking of Larp'ing as Hero's

as a big comic fan i do think that Hawkeye & Mockingbird would be awesome' in Deed,

i am always buying some odds and end from them to use in costuming never had and trouble yet',
