Regarding Panels:
« on: October 13, 2011, 09:55:28 AM »

Hey guys,
I was thinking, I know DexCon / Dreamation have had a lot of panels in the past, and I've tried showing up for a lot of them, and it seems a fair amount of them just don't ever really happen.
So here's my question:  What would you, the convention goers, like to see from panels in the future?   What topics?  What kind of format?
I'm particularly asking because I've been involved in a fair amount of panels over the years, and think that with the collective attendance of DexCon and Dreamation (from regular con-goers and professionals alike), I think that it'd be a great place for some idea and topic exchange.
I know I've gotten a lot of my inspiration for my game work from the attendees at DexCon, as well as a lot of inspiration from other professionals there (Steve B, Kurt, Geoff, Diabolique/Erik and the guys at Bacon Ice Cream, James "Dregg" Carpio, and more), and I'd love to help inspire our next generation of gaming enthusiasts and potentially designers.

Looking forward to everyone's input.

Hmmm......

Pillage, then burn.

Everything is air-droppable at least once.

A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head.

That which does not kill you has made a tactical error.

There is no "overkill".  There is only "Open Fire" and "Time to Reload!"

I have received a lot of compliments on the terrain I had for my GHQ (1:285) WWII games. Unfortunately I had to retire that terrain due to some irreparable damage it sustained.

For anyone who never saw my boards they were 2' x 4' contoured maps that fit together to form a 4' x 6' playing area.

Would there be interest in a panel / demo of the steps I used to create terrain like that?
