There is some relation here to that game out of Japan were you role around collecting thing until you are so big that you can collect buildings. A silly brain dead game, Very Snooch
"Katamari Damacy" and (for the love of the ghods...) the sequel "We <3 Katamari".
The basic premise is... um... lemme see if I remember this...
The "King of Space" goes on a major, Godot-like bender and while sloshed accidentally destroys the stars. All of 'em. As the Prince of Space, the King hands you the job of creating replacement stars. To do this, you roll a ball called a "katamari" around. A katamari is like a gravity-well - so long as its big enough, anything sticks to it (except you, the Prince). So, you roll it around, picking up little bits of office-supplies, pizzas, sign-posts, people, buildings, whatever, in order to make a lump-o-stuff. If the lump-o-stuff is big enough, the King of Space puts it in the sky, ignites it, and it becomes a new star.
The physics behind the katamari are kind of interesting, in a programming sense... but as for the rest of it, I heard that the author wrote this on a bet. And it's *still* a better game than Heroes Of The Lance.
Very silly, very brain-dead. I'll never forget the look on Vinny's face at SEII - it was a horrified, stunned, homicidal, sad, absurdly-amused expression... :-D
