An oddball idea...
« on: November 23, 2005, 05:45:45 PM »

Hey, all;

Since this is the Anime Track, and AMV (Anime Music Videos) has become a strong part of the culture in recent years, it occured to me - how about a run track of high-quality AMVs? Maybe an hour long, with videos like "Stress" by Jim's Big Ego on Cowboy Bebop, or Rammstein's "Engel" on Neon Genesis Evangelion?

I've got finished public-domain data files for a few and the links to get more, if anyone wants to lay them down on VHS. Or, if there's interest, I should be able to transcode a DVD - just need to know the time-slot (how long it would have to run) and what people what to see.

I usually bring a handful of tapes o' music videos and other shorts to fill programming gaps and make sure there's SOMETHING showing between features. However, if there's enough demand for an Anime Music Video block, I'll do it in a heartbeat.

Slick. Lemme know if there's any demand - I could throw together a compilation DVD for ya (no nifty menus, probably - not without several month's lead-time... damn my schedule...), but I could dump a bunch of vids onto a drive and let my media-processor transcode a disc.
