I just spoke with one of my critic friends who got to see the preview of Narnia las night. As the report goes he gave it a thumbs up with the comment of 'Disney didn't kill it'. The special effects were bang on and the soundtrack according to him was enough to get him sniffing.

Needless to say Tiny and I will be seeing this movie in our annual movie jaunt with his dad on Christmas Day.

Happy Holidays!

I am planning on seeing it in manhattan friday night.  We're holding off on the exact date and showing until all the theaters post showtimes.

If anyones interested, I could post details when I have them.

It's also playing at the theater I work at in Montclair this weekend. It's a smaller theater, but if anyone is close by and wants details on how to get here let me know.

Unfortunately I have performances ALL weekend (friggin music major), so I don't know when I'll be able to go see it myself.

We went Christmas day with Tiny's dad and saw Narnia and for a Boxing Day treat we went and saw King Kong.

I liked King Kong but I did really like Narnia.

The special effects were superb!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Working at a movie theater I get to see parts of movies when I'm an usher. I saw the war in Narnia at the end and that had me awestruck. That was so beautifully done. Then I caught the end of King Kong where K.K. dies. I didn't think anyone could ever pull off the "Was beauty killed the beast" ever again especially normally funnyman Jack Black, but his deliverance of that line had me in chills. Definitely 2 holiday blockbusters.
