Are volunteers still needed for Dreamation?
« on: January 10, 2006, 08:21:28 PM »

Het folks, I know it is pretty late in the game, but I would love to volunteer to do nearly anything at dreamation. My husband, Jase is already up as wargaming staff, and we have a room with someone, so whoever is in charge of volunteers please email me at ariellafaerie@gmail.com to talk turkey.

Things I know I can do....
Since im used to box office/event work, i can work registration
I can also hepl people get over "big board" confusion.
Refilling snacks in the snackroom too :)

That and I recently got certified in cpr, so i will be bringing my mask.

or whatever else is needed, (lifting stuff, accepting bribes, whatever)

Just drop moi a line :)

I used to be the Volunteer Coordinator but none of the Department heads have mentioned any need of new staff to me this time around.  Try checking the sub-boards for Boardgaming or RPGA or whatever you're interested in to see if anyone's posting in their own area for extra help.

And of course any department heads who see this are welcome to respond to you directly.  :)

If you're interested in and of the following administrative areas try Private Messaging the following people (their names are also PM addresses):

Registration- Barbara or Julie
Prize Table/T-shirts-  Felicia
Security- Turk

And he doesn't include Staff Suite or Con Suite :(  Message me or AiskonTyrwos (diane) for info on that.

I don't remember what you did for Big Board at DEXCON, Mark, but if you're available early, it almost always helps to have hands around that have done it before.

If I remember correctly Mark helped to put Big Board together.
Which means we have some one with experience in BB assembly.

Can DEFINITELY use help with Big Board assembly.  I occasionally need a hand with Big Board as well, but I'm not sure what the status of that is yet.  (Just got home from vacation last night.)
