hey i was just wondering is there any time at Dreamation for just free Wargaming.  I was hoping to get a good 40K game in but unfortuantely i'm lazy and have yet to paint my army and i see most of the events require painted armies.

There are aften unused tables that can be used for pick up games.  But please find either myself, Mark Andrews, or Tom as some scheduled games need special areas of the room for such things as electrical outlets.  If there is space available I think we could find you a table to play on.

There is no "overkill".  There is only "Open Fire" and "Time to Reload!"

You could also bring your armies to paint while there. ;-)

Mark and Tom - do you think there might be interest in "speed painting your army for painting-bums" at DEX as an early morning or late night slot?

Avie,

Hmmm....  There might be.  The only problem I can see is supplies....

RedMagesHat,

Can you throw some primer -- other than grey or white -- on your figures, and dip your bases in green paint before the convention?  For example, prime them with blue spray paint and paint the bases green....  Obviously the desire is that your figures be painted.  However, if you make an effort to have painted them, it will be suffiicent.

Very best regards,

If I supply the supplies - we ahve a ton of plastic "eggshell" pallettes somewhere, paint is dirt cheap at michael's or joanne's, and brushes for bums don't have to be stellar quality. ;-)

If you want to schedule it just include it in the stuff you send Vinny like normal and let me know.

ic, it hought it ment like "well painted"  but then again i have a problem of spending way to much time painting just 1 figure.  I'm gonna stick to friendly games anyway though, i haven't been playing that long so i don't feel like pissing off any good compedative players with my Newbness. lol.

RedMagesHat,

All of the 40K games scheduled at Dreamation are "friendly games".  There are no 40K tournaments or "take no prisoners" games scheduled at this convention.  All of the 40K games will welcome beginners and those in need of, what we call in the Army,  "refresher training".

Best regards,
