Nestled deep within the Gunsmoke facility, illuminated by the soft glow of an old vaccum-tube television set, is the animated construct Esper, happily watching random nexal broadcasts, telekinetically flinging popcorn into the air, and catching the kernals on the way down, when an alarm begins to softly chime. Esper mrows happily, and gives the channel selector a glance, and in a few clicks it tunes to the Lightfoot Television Broadcast Station, immediately followed by the Betamax unit starting to record the show. It catches the last few moments of re-runs of Bron Price's award winning movie, "The Good, the Bad, and the Lightfoot.", then goes directly into the Jenny Show.
Popcorn sails through the air as the animated entity watches the interview. It's short, but it's direct and to the point, that, and since the dragon said he was new, this may just be a two-parter. Once the interview is complete, Esper stops the recording, rewinds the tape, and files it with the others in a wall archive, then returns to the Late-Late-Late-Late Movie, I was the Teenage Delphi.
In the tank behind the chair, the green opaque fluid stirs, revealing the mostly complete bio-construct of Esper. It turns in its nutrient-tank to focus on the show. It paws at the plastic-glass with finished paws, all the while a countdown clicks away on the console. <35:23:15:00> and counting down...
