Flames of War at future Conventions
« on: February 02, 2006, 09:34:37 AM »

I'm considering running a Kursk mega-battle at either Spring Gathering or DexCon with a tourney to follow at DexCon and/or Southern Exposure.

Question is, how many FoW players are out there?  And how much stuff do you have painted up?  This will help me plan how much additional stuff needs to get done to make a real Kursk-sized showing.  If there's plenty of Russians and Germans already available, then we can concentrate on getting really kicking terrain in place.

I'd be glad to play but I have no figures and very little experience with the system.

Pillage, then burn.

That which does not kill you has made a tactical error.

There is no "overkill".  There is only "Open Fire" and "Time to Reload!"

Whitt,

I'm glad you added an FoW event to the Spring Gathering schedule.  I think it's a terrific game, supported by a well established company, with little real competition and a growing customer base.  It will take time to attract players and develop a significant presence at our conventions; but, I think, it is worth the effort.

Again, thanks!!!!

No problem, I love the game and would love to see more folks playing it.  It's the game I got into Wargaming for before I even knew it existed.

I'm going to be bringing my Panzerfusilier Regiment of Grossdeutschland which can hack games from 1,000-5,000 points so if folks want to sneak in a couple of larger games around the con in addition to the demos, I should be available for that as well.
