An area of ground, no more or less remarkable than the ground surrounding it quietly exists, as it has for the last several years. Nearby, a large rock outcropping juts from the ground, also quietly existing, innocent of any thought of sudden movement.

In the shadow of this rock a few dim stars twinkle, as a heavily armed celestial otter sits silently in wait of something to relieve the boredom that has set in...
 

[Fox McCloud]

Fox wandering about looking around walks by the place the otter is sitting not noticeing him.  he turns and looks out away from the rock and sratches the back of his head...

The little otter's eyes glitter as he sees the fox walking by. Carefully he raises his Plasma Rifle of Horrendous Doom, but lowers it again, just as carefully. Was the fox an enemy? He couldn't remember if had eaten a cookie or not, and his father would be upset if he shot a cookie eater. Certainly the fox posed no threat, and his mother would likely scold him if he shot the wandering Avatar. On the other hand, it might be Eve in disguise, or one of the other Flemings. They all were sly beings, full of deceit and treachery.

Reaching behind one of the stars in his fur, the little otter pulled out a chocolate chip cookie, wrapped in a clear plastic sheet. Carefully, he throws it in a high lob that will have it drop from the sky directly in front of the fox. At the same time, he raises his rifle once more, aiming it one handed.

[Fox McCloud]

Fox looks down at the cookie and picks it up and turns around to see the otter...and the rifle "whoa!" he exclames and raises his hands in the air sitll holding the cookie. after a breif pause "wait...dont i know you...right you the otter from that other...place. remeber i was helping you"

[wcshoe]

The otter looks calmly at him, answering after a second or two. "Da. I am the otter from 'the other place' but you... you have not eaten a cookie yet."

[Fox McCloud]

Fox looks up at the cookie "oh this?...umm ok" fox unwraps the cookie. takes a quick sniff and takes a small bite.  after tasting the cookie he takes another bite.  "alright im eating the cookie...could you put down the gun?"

[wcshoe]

Cutthroat lowers the weapon, still alert for signs of possible other intruders to the area. "Well, you aren't a Chaos Wolf, anyway."

He pauses, looking as thoughtful as an otter shaped piece of cosmos can look. "We need to finish what we started. In that other place, you know."

[Fox McCloud]

Fox takeing another bite of the cookie "well noone told me what we were doing thare in the first place."

**Eli logs on**

Translucent, in bluish jeans and a striped, knit polo shirt, and a Helvetia button, Eli takes a look around.

"Huh," he says absently. "Have I been here already?"

He notices the otter and the fox, but looks up at the stars in the sky.

OOC: Daytime here... The only stars visible are in the fur of the Celestial Otter, under you have other than normal viewing abilities. (See character description thread HERE.)The otter absently raises his plasma rifle, aimed at the head of the newcomer, while replying to Fox. "We were there destroy the Chaos Wolves and their allies. Did you happen to notice, there were no cookies there? They killed all the bakers."

Fox feeling alot more comfortable now he isnt at gunpoint glances at eli but not feeling thretined by him seeing that cuthroghts rifle is trained on him "chaos wolves? watsa chaos wolf?"

Cutthroat sighs. "Chaos Wolves. The one type of creature in all the multiverse that is pure evil, and wishes nothing more than the destruction of all other beings. It is said that they hate life so much, that when all others are dead and gone, they will turn on themselves. The one thing that a Chaos Wolf cannot abide is a chocolate chip cookie, it being the symbol of all that is good. A chocolate chip cookie eaten willingly will demonstrate that a being is not a Chaos Wolf in disguise. However, I have learned that there are some beings that willingly serve Chaos Wolves, so we must all be on our guard at all times. House Fleming, for example, has many pawns and willing allies of the Chaos Wolves."

Gesturing toward Eli with his gun, Cutthroat asks Fox, "Do you know him?"

[Fox McCloud]

"him?" fox looks tward eli "Ive seen him once, but no i dont 'know' him. who is he?"

[gaylord500]

Eli keeps looking at the sun for a while... Does it burn out his retinas? Perhaps, perhaps not. It's hard to tell.

He turns, looking down the barrel of the gun - perhaps unintentionally if he's blinded. The gun's pointed right at his face. He turns to the Fox's comment.

"Oh, I'm Eli," Eli says. "I think I borrowed your marker a few days ago. But I'm pretty sure I returned it."

"So a fox and an otter are by a rock looking for wolves. Got it." Eli does a double thumbs up and drops the hands by his sides. "Do I need a weapon or anything if I'm going to join into this party? If you're looking for a group, that is, and don't mind newbies."

[wcshoe]

The little otter pulls another cookie from nothingness, and solemnly holds it out with a paw. "Newbie, eh? Better stick with us for a while, the Chaos Wolves would get you for sure. Yeah, you'll need weapons, but you'll also need skills. How long have you been in the Nexus, anyway?"
