HELP SET THE WORLD RECORD FOR LARGEST COCONUT ORCHESTRA!

Guinness World Records will be on hand to judge this event for record-breaking status

Record to be set in Shubert Alley on Wednesday, March 22

Directly after the matinee performance of Monty Python's Spamalot (approx 4:30pm)

This event marks the Broadway Musical's One-Year Anniversary

FREE Commemorative Coconuts will be given out to all participants. (while supplies last)

CELEBRATE THE ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT! Join us as a Shubert Alley crowd plays a lovely bunch of coconuts. Guinness World Records™ will be on hand to judge the record-setting performance of the world's largest coconut orchestra.

Ticket holders for the Wednesday, March 22 matinee of Monty Python's Spamalot will automatically participate in this record-setting event. After filling out an extremely brief registration form, each ticket holder will receive a pair of complimentary coconuts upon exiting the theatre. Soon after the curtain comes down at 4:20pm the audience, coconuts in hand, will be led into Shubert Alley, where Michael McGrath (who plays "Patsy," the coconut-playing sidekick to King Arthur) will lead the crowd in a lesson on the art of coconut playing. After a brief rehearsal, the Shubert Alley crowd will be led in a performance of "Bright Side of Life," where they will clop coconuts in the place the song's whistles.

FREE COCONUTS!

Plenty of additional free coconuts will be on hand for people who wish to participate in this record setting event, but do not have tickets for the 3/22 matinee. Event registration and distribution of the free commemorative coconuts will begin at 3:45pm in Shubert Alley. Event participants should plan on staying in Shubert Alley until approx 4:45pm. These specially designed, record-setting coconuts are sure to become collectors' items. Guinness Book of Records' Stuart Claxton, head of US Research, will serve as the official judge of the event.

Having been forced to actually look (cuz dangit, now I need to know) I have not found any mention of a previous record for "largest coconut orchestra."  I found records for largest orchestra, records by Sr. Coconut and his orchestra, largest coconut, but no mention of largest coconut orchestra.  That means this will be extra special as a record defining event!  *grumblegrumblestupidworkgrumble*
