Xenia: Reflections on the Shore

Even before making his offering at the shrine, the simple act of removing his shoes creates a deeper connect. As his body makes contact with the earth a feeling of acceptedness swells around him much the way it did for Des. There is no question that they are welcome here.

"of course." Des smiles at Horace. Her eyes look to the small shrine once more as the two continued up the path. after a few moments of scilents Des looks over at her traveling companion and friend, "You said that the Nexus grants us our own domain, it will behave as we want it to. this place feels so welcoming and safe, is that how she wanted hers to behave? I mean the moment we walked onto the shore, it was amazingly peaceful and calm and then it was so welcoming. I've never felt as welcomed as I do here."

"That is how Andromache wants visitors to feel. Others domains reflect the wishes of their owners. Some reflect their place of origin. Some an ideal."

They walk some more till they crest the hill. (OOC Molly, post a desription of the house please?)

[Mack Ravensline]

Approximately two days after their conversation Mack comes out of the Bazaar with a paper wrapped box and slowly walks through proper with it tucked under one arm. As he walks he comes across an orange tree. He walks over to it and takes an orange off a branch and eats it. OOC NOTE: This occurs after the dinner. Mack is thinking about entering Xenia.

As the flash goes off, in one very fast motion, mack pulls his blaster and destroys the scanner. In seconds the blaster is back in it's holster. Mack makes sure the package he was holding is not overly jostled under his other arm.

the bolt of energy destroys the flash but leaves the bot unhurt. The bot speeds off.    to where Des and Horace are standing.

DOMAIN GM's NOTE:

1. The bot does NOT speed towards Horace and Des. The bot does not enter the domain. There was no open portal, and had there been the bot would not have been able to slip through.

2. The Xenian Dinner party will not commence until all original posting players from "where am i where's my hat" are either able to post or opt out of the party (as Zero has). For further clarification please read the Xenian dinner party posting.

3. All actions on this thread currently still preceed the dinner party in question.

4. If Mack is still coming to Xenia in the present tense and not the future (after the dinner which is on hold) then he disappears from the spot in Proper without an archway appearing and arrives directly. (Mark, im or pm to confirm)

At the crest of the hill, Horace and Des find themselves looking out from the trees onto a naturally formed terrace of rock and earth overlooking the coast below.

Before them the garden is less wild, more cultivated. It incorporates architechtural elements-- a stone wall, a bench, an archway, a fountain. Statues and potted plants are visible in the garden further ahead.

OOC Clarification

There was no way for the bot to get in. It did not request entrance or seek entrance in any of the usual ways. There was no gateway open as has been described before and had there been, it still wouldn't have worked as no one or thing can sneak or slip into Xenia.

the Domain IS open.

however, it does not tolerate the harrassment of it's residents and guests from anyone within it's boundries.

furthermore, last I checked, the bots were "things" not "beings" sentient bionic-android-robotic avatars etc of a non hostile nature are welcome to gain entrance, but unidentified automatons are quite another matter. Communicators from friends (a la Aiskon's spheres) are entirely distinct from mechanoid-paparazzi. Especially ones that have been regarded as hostile.

If the bots want to know about Xenia, it would behoove them to politely seek entrance or ask a Delphi.

As Des and Horace walk into the garden the sents of differnt pollens from the flower and plants around them. Des walks over to the side of the path and kneeled near some of the flowers. Her fingers lightly touch the flower to angle it to her nose. The flower smells like a flower that the witches who used to train her grew in small pots for different potions and spells. The only difference that Des can see is the color. The ones her old teachers used to grow were blue and purple, this was a patch of pink and red ones.  Des looked up at Horace and chuckled to herself while standing "wouldnt you just look lovely with one of these in your hair?"

OOC- im not shure they even know what a delphi is.  And as for them being hostile well you cant assume that they are automaticly hostile just becouse they have an icredably annoying, being incredibly annoying is not a crime (if it were a large portion of the nexus would be 'under judgement') and they only act in a hostle manner if they are prevoked in some way. But like i sayd before i understand the cannot enter your domain becouse 'there hostile' and it was no big deal. (they can go be hostile to someone else! )
