« on: August 15, 2006, 10:14:47 AM »

This is a cut and paste from the HeroClix forums.
It was originally posted By Supergene. A Heroclix fanatic.

All the rules documents are in PDF format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat to open them. If you need a copy, you can get it free here. Microsoft Excel is required to open the checklist spreadsheet.

Looked it up and it looks like yes, you can.  Impervious doesn't work, but the damage bit on Super Senses is supposedly there only for timing purposes so it's good against things like Incap and Mind Control.

Looking over the rules, for the Highlander rule at Mint Condition, I started wondering, what does it apply to?  Does it apply to figure/set?  Figure/identity?  Figure/name?

For examples:
1) Superman Red/Blue.  Can they be played together?  Or do they both count as Superman?  Red/Blue were around at the same time.  What about Iron Man who remotely controls multiple suits regularly?
2) Captain Britain.  There's a Captain Britain Brian Braddock and there's a Captain Britain Betsy Braddock.  Completely different characters and sculpts.  Same name.  Same powers.
3) Captain Marvel.  One Marvel, One DC.  I assume they can be used together, but making sure.

Just curious (*ponders a team of all three Captain Marvels*)

Everyone is alway welcome to start a new topic
It will make it easer to find information at a later time.
if some one asks a question that we have discussed already we can always refer them to the previous topic.

Look for a NEW TOPIC to be called Highlander rules for the answer to your question.

I knew I'd seen somewhere that said that Super Senses worked against Mind Control (and actions that don't damage in general).  While it's not what I'd originally seen, here's what I was thinking of.

For the SHIELD/Running Shot thing last night, looked up the rule and found that it can't be done, but I was wrong as to why (I was thinking Hypersonic where the move doesn't end until after the attack has finished).  Apparently, with Running Shot, the figure it put down before firing, but since they've already been taxied that turn, they can't perform the power action for the SHIELD ability.  Hydra and Sinister Syndicate could use their adjacency abilities in the same case however since one is a free action and one is just some weird effect.

Giving a reference link is a great thing.

Thanks for thinking out of the box
