It's detailed by the loser of the contest. So you'd kill them, but they could describe themselves as only 'Mostly Dead' or in 'Critical Condition'... and they'd then have all the Higgs.

They could also declare no contest and invoke it as just a Role-Playing effect and then it's a mortal wound or something.

Or everyone dies and we all respawn one universe over to the left where there isn't a murderous psychopath on the loose? :)

As this system is in something of an live alpha/beta state there isn't a nailed down death mechanic as of yet.
